About Employer:

Nova Sea AS is one of the largest northern Norwegian producers of farmed salmon. We have breeding facilities and skilled, committed employees along the entire coast of Helgeland, from Vega in the south to Gildeskål in the north. Our head office and harvesting plant is placed on the island Lovund. The employees are Nova Sea's most important resource and top priority. We have a great social responsibility as a food producer, and every day deliver salmon equivalent to 770,000 meals. We take our role in Helgeland's local communities very seriously and give back by supporting local initiatives.

The concern consists of Nova Sea AS, Helgeland Smolt AS, Nova Sea Aquaservice AS, Nova Master AS, Djupvatn AS, as well as the affiliated companies Tomma Laks AS and Vega Sjøfarm AS, a total of approx. 400 employees. Nova Sea AS handles the administration of all the companies in the concern. The group is fully integrated from broodstock production to serving salmon in restaurants. All Nova Sea's activities must be managed according to the principle of sustainability.

Our harvesting plant and head offices are located at Lovund in Lurøy municipality. We now need 7 new employees who can contribute to our production of farmed salmon fillet.

About the job:

In our fillet department, the tasks consist of processing and filleting fresh salmon. The work mainly involves operating our stations along assembly lines and machines. We practice rotation on our assembly lines, as variation in this kind of work has many advantages.

For extended periods of time each year, we run a two-shift production. During these periods, production workers work morning/evening shifts every other week.

We hope you have:

  • Skilled worker certificate in seafood production or other relevant subjects and/or experience from similar work or other food production
  • Valid fish welfare course
  • Truck driver's license

Fluency in Norwegian is not a requirement. Most of our daily communication in the harvesting plant occurs in English, and good communication skills in English will be emphasized.

To do enjoy and thrive in this job, you need to:

  • Have very good hygiene and an understanding of HSE principles
  • Enjoy routine work, have good concentration over time and value punctuality
  • Be able and suited for physically taxing work
